The ups and downs of car shopping

Mike took me car shopping last night. Myself and him knowing that my challange would be getting the loan not picking a car since anything would be better than I have now.

pro's I have light credit. not too much bad but not too much good. I am not a first time car buyer and my debt to income ratio is REALLY LOW.

Con's I have no $$$ for downpayment and am really strict on what payment I can afford.

So we go to the Nissan dealer by our old office. We go straight to the internet manager and tell them i need credit approval and payments first before we start test driving.

After about 4 hours i have decided on a car with payments i can afford. We go to finance to sign papers and the finance guy says "Wow i guess they are really going to make me work for you on this one." Mike and looked at eachother and froze. So the payment they quoted me and I am signing for is not approved by the bank. UGH! So i sign all the papers leave the car there and said call me in the morning.

They just called... I can have the payment I need if I put $725.00 down payment. How many times do we have to tell you I DON'T HAVE DOWN PAYMENT!

So tonight it is back to the drawing board.

This post is mostly for my out of state sisters Mis and Mary...

Here you go!

View from the street...

If you walk towards the mailbox, it is attached to a half wall that leads to the path to our front door... so you would walk up the drive turn right then a quick left.

This is what you would see...

Then our front door is on the left...

When you walk in the front door straight ahead is the living room...

To the left is the stairs, down stairs bath and the garage...

The down stairs bathroom is new! Mikey has spent most of his time in this room. ;) He sanded and painted the vanity, removed a medicine cabinet and patched the hole. He replaced the light fixture, mirror, and painted the walls. He also replaced the faucet and purchased new accessories and Art to match. Good Job Mikey!

Now step into the living room and see that it runs the entire length of the house. A very long room...

Ok back to the front door. If you were to turn right instead of stepping down to the living room you would enter the kitchen.

Off the dining room is a sliding glass door to the backyard

The backyard is all concrete with some flower beds. Mikey's parents came over the weekend after we moved in and did some planting. We have access to the park behind us so the girls have some grass and play ground to play on and Mikey has plenty of room to practice his short game :)

Now to the upstairs....

As you get to the top, in front of you is the girls bathroom...

Turn left and you have the kids rooms.

The coolest thing that I liked about this house is that all bedrooms have balconys.

The girls share one.

And we have one of our room also.

Well that is all I have for now...

I am going to use these pictures as my before pictures since we will be starting our small remodel of the kitchen and placing carpet in the living room. We will also be getting funiture for our bedroom and a new kitchen table and chairs. I am so excited it is defintely coming together.

mikeyblueatlast and I got home from work last night around 7pm, went up stairs to get in comfy clothes, laid down and didn't wake up until now.

This week is wiping me out.

What a waste of an evening. but at least I am catching up on my sleep.

Here I am again... Bored at work... wanting to go home and work on my house.

I can see the light now. My room is almost clean. Charles came over last night and hooked up my wireless router so I don't have wires running in the middle of the room.

Once I get caught up on laundry and have it all put away. I will be way ahead of the game. It is just so hard to do when the kids are at home. I really only get 15 minutes here and there to do things. Then of course when they're not there I want out of the house to play...

This week is different... I am truly motivated and work seems like it is hindering. GRRRR. If I had know this week I would have been like this I would have saved my vacation time :)

I have to get the kids room finished before the 9th. I would like to get my room done too but it is not necessary.

My to do list for this week:

- Laundry
- Put away Laundry
- Dishes
- Mop tile
- Vaccuum
- Project my room (which includes all of the above minus the mopping and dishes)
- Project kids room (also majority of above)
- then maintain next week so I won't be rushing before my dad gets there.

I do have to say I am proud of the way my living room has been maintained. And the storage room too! So for the most part if I can get my kitchen maintained the downstairs is done! I just hate dishes, always have, dishes and laundry are my problem children.

Oh! and I broke one of my plates. The nice thick blue ones! now I only have 7. :( I was really sad... those plates were a wedding present! Can you beleive it took me 5 years to break one? That is like some sort of record for me! LOL.
